Connecting
To the server and channel
Open your IRC client, and type "/server irc.irchighway.net 6667" to connect to irchighway.
Next, type "/join #sweet-lunacy" to join our channel. (I can't believe i am mentioning this,
but type the commands without the " (quotation) marks!!!)
Things to do before leeching
Type "/mode yournickname -x" to turn off your host masking. This will give you a better connection
to the file servers, which means faster downloads and no disconnecting from and/or crashing the
servers. Before you leech make sure you know how to. Read a guide, for example:
Embee's guide.
After you're done leeching always type exit in the server window or face ban and never
download again!
Rules
If you do not follow the rules you will get kicked and probably banned:
- 1. NO @find or you'll get kicked and banned!
- 2. Do a general !list, don't list users, unless you have their permission.
- 3. No spamming and no flooding.
- 4. No clones! And have a normal nickname, no Guestxxx! To register a nickname type: /msg NickServ help register
- 5. Play nice. There's a difference between playing around and being a jerk.
